Marcos Davi Lisboa was born in Porto Alegre, which is a city in the south of Brazil.
Acoustic guitar player and composer, Marcos plays the Brazilian jazz . His music is a connection among classical guitar, jazz, choro, samba, Bossa Nova and different styles.
His main influences are Egberto Gismont, Baden Powell, Raphael Rabello, Ralph Towner, Ulisses Rocha, Cesar Camargo Mariano, Johan Sebastian Bach, Antônio Carlos Jobim and Heitor Villa-lobos.
For many years, he was a student of James Liberato (Brazil), Eduardo Castañera (Argentine), Ulisses Rocha (Brazil) and Torsten Klentze (Germany)
In Munique, Germany, Marcos Davi worked as a Harmony and Guitar teacher.
His CDs CRIAÇÃO and CASA III were complimented by artists such as Roberto Menescal, Sid Jacobs, Ulisses Rocha, Zezo Ribeiro, besides the musical and ordinary media. CASA III was nominated for the best Instrumental CD by Açorianos Award as the best jazz/instrumental CD.
In 2004/2005 his musical work was selected by Itaú Cultural - Rumos Musicais, one of the most important cultural institutions in Brazil.
He has already played in several countries such as Uruguay, Belgium, France, Switzerland, Spain, Holland, Luxemburg, Austria and Germany.
